CHILI MACARONI & CHEESE
INGREDIENTS
- 2 boxes Good Citizens Whole Wheat Cheddar Macaroni and Cheese
- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 4 - 8 oz cans organic chili
- 1 large white onion
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 1 cup water or chicken stock
DIRECTIONS
- Peel and dice white onion
- Add canola oil to medium size pan on medium heat
- Add onions to pan and cook until translucent
- Add choice of ground meat and cook until slightly browned
- Add chili powder, garlic powder, and cheese powder from boxes of macaroni
- Stir powders in well with meat and add all cans of chili and 1 cup water or stock
- Once chili comes to boil, stir in uncooked macaroni noodles
- Cover pot with tight fitting lid and cook for 10 minutes or until noodles are cooked
- Remove chili from heat and fold in shredded cheddar until melted
