CHILI MACARONI & CHEESE

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 boxes Good Citizens Cheddar Macaroni and Cheese
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 4 - 8 oz cans organic chili
  • 1 large white onion
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1 cup water or chicken stock

DIRECTIONS

  1. Peel and dice white onion
  2. Add canola oil to medium size pan on medium heat
  3. Add onions to pan and cook until translucent
  4. Add choice of ground meat and cook until slightly browned
  5. Add chili powder, garlic powder, and cheese powder from boxes of macaroni
  6. Stir powders in well with meat and add all cans of chili and 1 cup water or stock
  7. Once chili comes to boil, stir in uncooked macaroni noodles
  8. Cover pot with tight fitting lid and cook for 10 minutes or until noodles are cooked
  9. Remove chili from heat and fold in shredded cheddar until melted
